A bit about the Glanford Curling Club:

Mount Hope is home to one of the oldest curling clubs in Ontario. Glanford Curling Club was founded in 1894 as a two sheet curling club with natural ice. In 1959 the present curling surface and building went up, expanding the club to three sheets of ice. The lounge rooms have been recently renovated and provide a cheerful and friendly place to relax after a hearty game of curling.

There are many types of memberships for all ages at Glanford. Curling is available during the week both in the daytime and evenings. Mixed curling is available on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Women can curl Monday evening and night, Tuesday morning and Friday morning. Men’s curling is Monday, Tuesday night and Thursday. Juniors curl on Sundays. There is a Choose Your Own League on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

We started an adult Learn 2 Curl program in 2015 and it has been received very well by new curlers wishing to learn the sport. We also offer clinics through out the year run by certified OCA instructors for curlers to improve their game.

Curling is a game of skill, strategy and luck but above all, it is a game of fun. It is a game that can be played from the age of 8 to 88. It can be recreational or competitive depending on how much time you have to devote to the game.

So come out to Glanford and TRY CURLING.
