64 League

The Greater Hamilton Halton Junior Curling League was a vision in the winter of 1996. That spring, ten clubs representing seven municipalities in Southern Ontario came together to deal with the challenge of developing a bantam/junior league for their novice curlers. The league would provide potential future world champions with an opportunity to define and confirm their interest in curling, while having optimum recreational fun. It would also provide the member clubs with opportunities to share ideas and promote their programs within their clubs and their communities.

Today, now known as “The 64s Bantam/Junior Curling League” and operated as the Bantam Curling branch of HACA, our original mandate from the initial 1996/1997 season has not varied and is held strongly by our member clubs. Differing from the highly competitve OCA event curling, The 64s focuses on providing a recreational and developmental curling opportunity for teenagers in the Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville area over the course of an entire curling season.
