A bit about the Dundas Granite Curling Club:

Established in 1963, the Dundas Granite Curling Club (DGCC) prides itself in offering curling for individuals of all levels of ability and experience.  The club has four sheets of quality curling ice and members can choose to curl either during the day or in the evening or both!  Our members range in age from 10 to 80 plus years of age.

The DGCC has leagues that run for both competitive and recreational curlers.  The curling league options during the day include:  men’s masters, co-ed recreational and mixed co-ed competitive. Evening curling league options include:  ladies recreational, men’s recreational, mixed co-ed recreational and mixed co-ed competitive.  We also have weekly scheduled times for juniors. Member practice is also available depending on the ice usage for the week.   A social membership is also an option.

We are involved with and support a variety of community groups.  We host curling for the visually impaired every Friday, curling for the clergy on Monday mornings, and host several community bonspiels each year (e.g. Boy scouts). In addition, many of our sections hold clothing and food drives for the underprivileged and raise funds for charitable donations.

The DGCC offers many clinics and other events for those interested in trying curling, including  the Ontario Curling Association Adult Learn to Curl Program.   This program promotes the sport of curling in a fun league, allowing novices to learn basic curling skills in a relaxed environment.

Our four sheets of ice and fully licensed lounge facilities are available to groups who might be interested in renting either or both for any get-together. Usually, we can provide instruction for beginners and offer assistance in arranging a caterer if a meal is needed. Bookings may be made through our club manager.

We are known for our social, fun-loving atmosphere, welcoming of new and returning members, and hosting great bonspiels!
